Who we are

Abueng Advisory (Pty) Ltd (“Abueng”) is a South African Accounting Firm specialising in building and maintaining financial governance ecosystems for SMEs — enabling them to stay compliant, grow sustainably, and build for the long term. We believe that when SMEs strengthen their financial governance, they unlock stability, scalability, and long-term value. Our firm exists to make that a reality.

Abueng was founded by Kelebogile (Lebo) Ntlha, who is passionate about the meaningful impact that sound Financial management and Corporate governance practices have on the sustainability of businesses. Lebo is a CA(SA) and holds an MBA degree (awarded cum laude) from Wits University and a Post-graduate diploma in Tax from the University of Johannesburg. Lebo’s experience includes serving as the Group financial director of a JSE-Listed company for five years, and as the Group financial executive and Company secretary for two years before that. It is against this backdrop that she is able to relate to the intense deadline-driven demands experienced and high performance culture required in business.

Our mantra “we do life together” embodies our belief that sustainable success is built through win-win relationships — because business is a team sport.

Abueng is a Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor.

Why we exist

Our PURPOSE is to empower SMEs to build financially sustainable businesses. This purpose fuels our VISION: to become one of South Africa’s most trusted Accounting Firms for SMEs.

Inspired by Jim Collins’ concept of “the genius of the AND”, we embrace both SME empowerment and Corporate client service as complementary strengths. We support both SMEs and Corporate clients with the same level of rigour, execution discipline and financial governance excellence. Our experience across both environments strengthens our ability to deliver dependable execution, strategic insight and sustainable financial structures. .

Our dual focus creates a virtuous cycle: Working with complex corporate environments keeps us sharp, structured, and execution-disciplined. Working with growth-minded SMEs keeps us agile, practical, and solutions-driven. Together, these worlds reinforce each other — enabling us to deliver sustainable financial governance solutions that work in real life, not just on paper.

  • Ethical leadership: A commitment to building a financially sustainable business the right way, with a long-term mindset.
  • Separation: Personal and company finances kept separate to ensure compliance integrity.
